It’s a Jungle out there, when it comes to choosing a decent restaurant to spend your hard earned pennies in. So…what if I told you that one of the most successful party chains in the UK knock up some damn fine food also?

Tiger Tiger Newcastle has already earned its stripes as ‘THE’ premier Newcastle Nightspot with its seven unique party rooms including the Kanaloa bar, Jewel Bar and Groovy Wonderland. The brains, behind the brand, have also realised that a nightclub can be just as dynamic as any other large venue and have incorporated a restaurant along with classy function rooms, within Tiger Tiger’s mighty walls.

Basically, the brand haven’t just thought outside the box, in fact…they’ve scrunched the box up and tossed it out of the window!

“Admittedly…before now, I never really saw past the nightclub and recognized Tiger Tiger as a highly organized food and corporate venue.”

The restaurant ‘Tiger Kitchen’ is secluded, spacious and stylish. Its plush seating arrangements, chandeliers and Gatsby-esque decor make for a setting that’s easy on the eye. The venues adjacent themed rooms are ideal for corporate events, from team building to product launches to presentations and board meetings.

When it comes to Menus, Tiger Kitchen has all bases are covered. Whether your looking for a light bite for lunch, an evening meal for a special occasion or a sharing platter to start your party, they have it all. The lunch menu boasts tasty dishes such as the BBQ pulled pork sandwich for just £4. There’s even set menus for functions and corporate events which include, a fork buffet, finger buffet and a three course meal.

In keeping with Tiger Tiger’s philosophy, the restaurant menu is varied enough for everyone’s tastes with options featuring classic comfort food favourites. There’s also an impressive grill selection boasting dishes which would satisfy any carnivore appetite, like the exotic barramundi fish (£13.50), filled with black rice, quinoa & ginger or the formidable 17 oz tomahawk steak (£35.50) which is a showcase for the #takeonthetiger challenge.

During our visit, we decided the Tiger Sharing Platter (£18) was a must have for starters. Crammed with genorous helpings of spicy cheesy garlic Tiger baguettes, calamari, chicken goujons, BBQ glazed pork ribs and crispy nachos, it certainly didn’t dissapoint.

For the main, I opted for the 8oz* rib eye steak (£17) smothered in pepper sauce, served with green beans and sweet potato fries. The steak was spot on medium rare, juicy, seasoned. Delicious. So was the pepper sauce.

Finally the pud. A delicious and decedent sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce accompanied by a generous dollop of ice cream. (£4.50)

With charming, helpful staff and good food I believe the future is bright for Tiger Tiger’s restaurant and have no doubt, when the word spreads, it will become a roaring success.
