After the two opening two shows selling out in record time in Newcastle, Bongo’s Bingo is very proud to be bringing a very special act to the city on Friday February 17th at the Boiler Shop – The Vengaboys!

Having already dazzled in Liverpool, the guys are making a long-awaited return to the UK with a mini Bongo’s tour, taking in the already sold-out Scouse masses once more as well as this amazing debut for Newcastle. The Vengaboys are more authentic euro-pop than even the real Eurovision, straddling their huge success and glitzy fun with equal aplomb. Their biggest singles include “Uncle John from Jamaica”, “We’re Going to Ibiza”, “Boom Boom Boom Boom” and “We Like to Party” – renditions which will bring the house down, presided over by the mercurial master of ceremonies, Jonny Bongo.

Bongo’s Bingo features big cash prizes from actual real cars to Henry Hoovers, “$hit” hot prizes, rave intervals, specials guests including everyone from David Hasselhoff to S Club 7 and dance-offs. A decidedly sedate British pastime has now been given a vibrantly new lease of life since the party launched in April 2015 in Liverpool, creating what is fast becoming one of the UK’s real success stories, now taking place in 6 different cities. Newcastle is one of the newest locations for the mayhem, and there’s been huge interest for all of the shows so far.

Organiser Joshua Burke explains: “We are so happy with the amazing response so far from Newcastle, with our opening show back in December and this January’s party selling out way in advance. We have had an amazing festive period, selling out our series of Bongo And The Beanstalk Xmas shows, as well as our events across the UK. We are catching our breath for a couple of weeks, then it’s straight back into it, including bringing The Vengaboys back to the UK and making their Newcastle debut for us. All of our parties are such good fun, and with special guests involved they get even better!”
