Toon in training: United's women get ready for Sunday's cup clash at St. James'

Newcastle United Women take centre stage at St. James' Park this weekend when they face Barnsley Women in the second round of the Vitality Women's FA Cup, with more than 25,000 tickets already sold.

And Becky Langley's players have been going through their final preparations this week ahead of the big match, with the team training at the club's Little Benton Academy on Thursday evening.

Several key players, including Olivia Watt, Ellen Packham, Anna Soulsby, Erin Nelson, Grace Boyes and Rachel Lee, will miss the game through injury, but the likes of Katie Barker, Georgia Gibson and Beth Guy - who all scored in last season's 4-0 win over Alnwick Town Ladies at the Magpies' famous stadium - are set to start once more and Daisy Burt, Gillian Oyos and Freya Bailes could play at the ground for the first time.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery ahead of what promises to be a memorable occasion at Gallowgate. Tickets for Sunday's match - which kicks off at 2pm (GMT) - are still available, but supporters are encouraged to purchase at the earliest opportunity, with advanced tickets priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions at book.nufc.co.uk.

To minimise large queues at cash turnstiles and avoid delays to kick-off, ticket prices will rise on matchday to £6 for adults and £2 for concessions.
