Rescheduled Premier League Cup clash for young Magpies
Newcastle United Under-21s' Premier League Cup visit of Bristol City's second-string has a new date.
Newcastle's youngsters were set to face their Robins counterparts on Monday, 12th December at Whitley Park but the Group E encounter was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
However, the cup tie will now take place on Wednesday, 18th January, with kick-off set at 1pm (GMT).
United's second-string, who reached the 2019 Premier League Cup final, cannot progress into the knockout stages of the competition after losing their opening four group fixtures but claimed a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory away at Crystal Palace on Monday after scoring twice in stoppage-time.
