Date for Northumberland Senior Cup quarter-final tie set
Newcastle United's Techflow Marine Northumberland FA Senior Cup quarter-final clash against Whitley Bay will take place at Hillheads Park on Wednesday, 23rd November.
The young Magpies, who received a bye into the last-eight of this season's competition, make the short trip to NE25 to face Nick Gray's side, who currently sit in second place of Northern League Division One - the ninth tier of English football. Kick-off is set at 7.30pm (GMT).
The two sides last met each other back in 2014 as Rolando Aarons' late winner sealed a 1-0 victory against the Seahorses at the semi-final stage.
Newcastle's second-string, who last won the Northumberland Senior Cup in 2018, reached the final of the competition last term before suffering a 3-2 defeat against Blyth Spartans at St. James' Park in May.
