Toon in training: Lady Magpies prepare for St. James' date

Newcastle United Women warmed up for Sunday's historic game against Alnwick Town Ladies by training at the men's first team Training Centre on Tuesday evening.

Becky Langley's side remain in the hunt for the FA Women's National League Division One title but need three points to keep their hopes alive, and there was a larger than usual media presence - including crews from Sky Sports, BBC, ITV and NUFC TV - as they were put through their paces ahead of playing at the famous stadium for the very first time.

Anna Soulsby and Rachel Lee are recovering from long-term injuries but Langley has an otherwise full squad for the big match. Cash turnstiles will be in operation in the East Stand on Sunday, with entry just £3 for adults and free for juniors. All supporters under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Further turnstiles will be open in the Gallowgate End and Leazes End subject to demand.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery as the players prepared for a match to remember.
