Cameron Ferguson signed for Newcastle United from Tranmere Rovers, having previously been at Everton following a spell in Spain.
The 18-year-old striker, son of former Magpies forward Duncan, had a successful trial with United towards the end of last season, which included a goal against Sunderland at under-18 level.
The tall youngster hails from Liverpool and is aiming to gain valuable experience as he enters his first season at under-23 level this term.
