Katie Barker

Newcastle United Women's number nine is Katie Barker, a livewire striker who will be looking to finish as the team's top goalscorer this season.

The former England under-19 international - who has also represented and captained England Colleges - joined the Lady Magpies in the summer of 2020 but her first campaign was cut short when the season was curtailed due to Covid-19 restrictions. 

Barker made her WSL debut for Sunderland Ladies as a 16-year-old and is also the current captain of Northumbria University, where she is a third year student studying sport and exercise science. She also works as an operational supervisor for XL Health.
