Republic of Ireland international midfielder Hendrick signed a four-year deal at St. James' Park in the summer of 2020.
He joined the Magpies following the expiration of his contract with Burnley, where he made 139 appearances in four seasons across all competitions and helped the Clarets qualify for the Europa League in 2017/18, becoming an integral part of Sean Dyche’s side.
He had joined Burnley for a reported fee of more than £10m in August 2016 having made more than 200 appearances for his first club, Derby County, where he impressed in the Championship before making the step up to the top flight.
A regular for his country, Hendrick has over 60 caps for the Republic of Ireland having made his international bow in 2013.
After spending the second part of 2021/22 on loan with Queens Park Rangers, Jeff joined Reading on loan for the entirety of the new campaign.
