Middlesbrough Women 0 Newcastle United Women 1
Lauren Robson's late goal gave Newcastle United Women victory in this Tyne-Tees derby clash.
As per FA Women's National League guidelines, the game went ahead following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II earlier in the day, with a minute's silence held before kick-off.
In a hard-fought affair, the best chances fell to the Lady Magpies, with Rosie Missen - in her final game for the club before she returns to New Zealand - firing over in the first half and Katie Barker clipping the inside of the post in the second period.
But just as it looked like both sides would have to settle for a point, Robson whipped in a free kick which evaded everybody on its way into the back of the net.
It was her third goal of the season and came against her former club. And while it paled into insignificance given the sad news of a few hours earlier, it gave United an important three points which took Becky Langley's side up to second in the FA Women's National League Division One North table.
