Disability Access Statement
We look forward to welcoming you to St. James’ Park and hope that our Access Statement Document helps answer any questions or concerns you may have about attending. If it does not, we urge you to contact the club employees listed in the back of the guide, who will be more than willing to help in order to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Download our guide here (PDF Download).

Website Accessibility
We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all. We have worked hard to make certain that it can be used easily on all modern browsers and devices, as well as by those using assistive technologies.

We will continue to listen to our supporters, ensuring any feedback regarding accessibility is responded to and acted upon quickly.

Recite
Enable Recite

Newcastle United has recently installed ReciteMe, making our website accessible to more people than ever before. By enabling ReciteMe, which is compatible on all devices, users will be able to customise their web experience by enabling read aloud text, changing font size and colour, as well as the opportunity to utilise the translation tool.

High Contrast
For those with visual impairments, you may find our High Contrast version useful (Turn on off High Contrast).

This alters some of the subtler colours in our palette to ensure readability for all. You can also use the Text Zoom on your browser, if you find the text is too small.

Our site has been built with Priority 1 and Priority 2 of the W3C accessibility guidelines in mind.

It has been tested with several assistive technologies, including W3C validation tools, contrast analysers, screen readers and screen scaling software and we have made adjustments in response to the findings of those tools.

Dyslexie Font
We are also trialling further font legibility improvements for dyslexic users; you can enable the Dyslexie here: (Turn on off Dyslexie font)

This font should make the site easier to read for Dyslexic users through a number of smart techniques. Every letter is a unique shape (i.e. 'n' is not simply an upside down 'u'), and all letters are weighted at the bottom to 'anchor' them to the line. A longer list of the key features can be found on the Dyslexie website.

Disability Committed
We As a Disability Confident Committed Employer we have committed to:

  • ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible
  • communicating and promoting vacancies
  • offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job
  • anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required
  • supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long term health condition, enabling them to stay in work
  • at least one activity that will make a difference for disabled people

Any Suggestions
If you have any suggestions to improve the accessibility of our site, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
