Langley joins Spennymoor on loan

Young goalkeeper Dan Langley will spend the second half of the 2022/23 campaign with Spennymoor Town.

The 6ft 7ins shot-stopper has been recalled from a loan spell with Gateshead, where he has made 12 appearances in the National League so far this term. Spennymoor are currently 14th in the National League North.

Langley, who turned 22 on Saturday, made his first-team debut for Newcastle during a pre-season friendly against York City in July 2021 before making another appearance between the sticks away at Doncaster Rovers that summer.

The Northumberland-born goalkeeper was also named on the bench for the Magpies' 2-1 Premier League victory against West Bromwich Albion in December 2020.
