Information for disabled fans

We take great pride in the service and facilities we offer supporters with disabilities.

We encourage fans with disabilities to inform us of their personal situations in order to allow us to make your matchday experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Arrangements can also be made, subject to availability, for any supporter suffering from a temporary disability (e.g. broken leg/ankle) which could affect ease of access to and from the stadium.

Newcastle United Football Club is working in partnership with AccessAble, to produce detailed Accessibility Guides for St. James' Park.

We have a dedicated ticket hotline exclusively for disabled supporters, providing specialist support and ensuring a smooth and convenient purchasing process.

Stadium seating

The club offers a total of 234 spaces for wheelchairs around the ground, including some in the section set aside for visiting supporters.

Each wheelchair space includes room for a personal assistant or carer, and has easy access from ground level outside of St. James' Park, then up into the relevant stand.

Personal assistants and/or carers, if required, are admitted to St. James' Park at no charge.

There are also 24 places for visually impaired supporters, with each seat rigged up to an infra-red commentary system which allows fans to tune into local radio commentary of the game.

There is no limit to the number of places in the stadium for ambulant disabled persons.

Car Parking

The club has around 120 car parking spaces on offer in the near vicinity of the stadium, with plenty of disabled berths within easy access of St. James' Park.

Ticket concessions

Newcastle United are one of only a handful of football clubs who offer a concessionary ticket for a personal assistant free of charge.

However, it should be noted that the club reserves the right not to issue a concessionary disabled ticket or a personal assistant ticket to anyone who is unable to meet the clubs entitlement criteria. All applicants are reminded that all tickets are non-transferable without the express permission of the club and that this process is subject to a regular review.

Supporting documentation could include:

• Higher or middle rate disability living allowance issued by the Department of Work & Pensions Receipt

• Enhanced rate Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

• Registration document which certifies that you are Registered Blind or Partially Sighted

• Veterans Agency letter confirming War Disablement Pension

• Confirmation in writing from Social Services that the individual is included on their Deaf Register, or a letter or report from an aural specialist confirming that hearing loss has been recorded at 70 – 95 dBHL or worse

• Lower or higher rate attendance Allowance statement.

• If resident outside of UK, please use equivalent documentation. NB: This list is not exhaustive and consideration will be given to any other evidence that can be provided.

Facilities

Changing places facilities in Milburn and East stands.

Sensory room, with specialist staff.

Newcastle United has induction loops installed in reception, the Box Office and the club store.

The Box Office is also equipped with a text phone for supporters with hearing difficulties.

Newcastle United Disabled Supporters Association

We are proud to support the Newcastle United Disabled Supporters Association (NUDSA).

Formed in 1988, the objectives of the association are to improve facilities and services on offer to disabled supporters of Newcastle United.

NUDSA has a permanent seat on the club's Fans Forum and is in regular dialogue with the club.
