Shearer's Bar doubles as a favoured matchday destination for both home and away fans, and is a convenient venue at the heart of the city for hosting gatherings on non-matchdays. 

Located at the Gallowgate End of St. James' Park, and open throughout the week, Shearer's Bar offers:

• A wide range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.
• A varied menu including a renowned Sunday Lunch.
• 35 large screen TV's giving visitors the chance to take in all major televised sporting events.
• An unrivalled atmosphere in the shadow of St. James' Park, including live match feeds from the ground each matchday.
• Private booths to hire for major sporting events such as the Super Bowl or Champions League.
• Private hire facilities for up to 200 people with free hire. (T & Cs apply)

    With the choice of an outside terrace, for those wishing to dine al fresco, or inside where you can watch all of the latest sporting fixtures on our large screens throughout the bar, Shearer's Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely lunch or party the night away.

    Families are welcome until 7pm and a children's menu is available until this time.

    Hold your function at Shearer's Bar, and entertain your guests in our private room which can be tailored to create your perfect setting.

    With a large versatile room, we can host up to 150 people for a dancefloor event or up to 220 for a staged event. We have a dedicated events team on hand to help, and can provide catering. We don’t charge a fee for hiring our room
