Newcastle United Under-18s recorded another impressive Premier League Cup victory on Saturday, netting four to seal a fine win at Manchester United.
Finley McAllister's opener gave the Red Devils the lead at Carrington but Graeme Carrick's youngsters fought back, with Josh Donaldson's quickfire brace in the space of three minutes before the break sending the Magpies in with the advantage at half time.
The contest remained in the balance until the final ten minutes, when England Under-17 midfielder Lewis Miley bagged a double of his own to round off a memorable win for United, with Miley's final effort coming in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
The result leaves Newcastle with two wins from their two Premier League Cup outings so far, following their 4-2 victory over Arsenal last month. Carrick's side are currently top of their group with just one game - at Aston Villa next month - remaining before the knockout stage.
