Newcastle United Under-18s were held to a 1-1 draw at Leeds on Saturday.
The Magpies had the better of the first half at the hosts' Thorp Arch training centre and deservedly went in front when Lucas Cooper finished off a fine move to register his first league goal at under-18 level.
Graeme Carrick's side couldn't quite hold on for victory, though, as Daniel Toulson's spectacular finish just two minutes after the restart levelled the scores and earned Leeds a point.
The result keeps United in tenth place in the Northern section of the Under-18 Premier League, with a Premier League Cup clash with Barnsley to come on Tuesday followed by a return to league action at home to Wolves on Saturday morning.
