Toon in training: Can United end 2022 by making it a magnificent seven?

Eddie Howe's side are aiming for a seventh straight Premier League victory when they take on Leeds United at St. James' Park in their final fixture of 2022.

So far, the Magpies have only lost once on Tyneside throughout the year - a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool last season - with the home crowd playing a huge part in the team's form.

The performances of Bruno Guimarães, Joelinton, Sven Botman and Miguel Almirón, to name just four, have also been vital and they all took part in training at United's Benton base on Thursday.

And Chris Wood, the former Leeds favourite who scored and led the line for Newcastle against Leicester on Boxing Day, was also pictured as club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery.
